Big Weekend of Racing

It was a big weekend for all the club racing this weekend. The performance athletes were busy in Spain and Liverpool and the club athletes busy representing up in Aberdeen.

Scholar athlete Marc Austin competed in the ETU U23 European Championships in Banyoles (Spain) He came second in both the mixed relay and Standard event.

The rest of the performance athletes where busy down in liverpool at the British Super Series and British Championships. Natalie Milne came 6th overall and future club member Julie Nimmo taking 3rd place in the Junior Catogory. The boys also represented well down south, with Fergus Roberts coming 16th overall and George Goodwin coming 9th.

Back up closer to home, the Aberdeenshire Triathlon Series took place in Inverurie where Winning Students supported Shannon Botham won the sprint race followed by a respectable performance from Craig Bathgate coming 16th in his age group. Unfourtunatley Jack Bisset, who was well on his way to a podium position after swimming under 9 minutes, encountered a puncture just a few kilometers into the cycle.

Safe to say a fabulous weekend of racing throughout the club.
